Hi, my name is John, I was born in the resort town of Blackpool, England.

I grew up in rural northwest England, going to school in Preston and Lancaster.

After 8 years working for a British defense contractor I left England to live in the United States. Photography at this time was a hobby that wasn't given enough time. My father gave me my first SLR years ago. Lord knows where that is now!

The digital age sparked a new interest for me. Today 100% of my images are digital and I use Photoshop in lieu of 'developer and fixer'.

I still work fulltime, while at the same time trying to learn more about photography. This site gives me the opportunity to showcase a few of the photos I have in my collection.

I often get asked, "What camera do you use?" Today its a Nikon D80 with a variety of lenses and accessories. However some of the images on this site were captured using a Point and Shoot. But to quote many a photographer, it's not the camera it's what you do with it.
